This is not an advertisement for any product sold by Shamrock Gear. As a firefighter, there are many times that we must slow down on a street to look for an address. Sometimes a person may have their address on their house in an area that is not very visible from the street, sometimes they may not have the address marked at all. Many times an address is visible during the day, but after the sun goes down, they may as well not have their house numbers posted on their home. Seconds count when you are having a heart attack or a stroke. It can be annoying to look out at the street and see the ambulance stopped 8 houses up, because nobody has visible house numbers.
The Jackson Firefighters Association has reflective address signs available for purchase online. These reflective address signs make it easier for emergency services to find your house, even from several houses down. The more houses on a street that have these reflective address signs the better. There are many streets in our community that have nearly every house with these address signs. These streets are easy to locate every house. Take a look at your house numbers on your house. Try finding them at night and see how easy they are to spot.
